personal response

we have chosen to review Eden Lake for our personal response.

yea boy.

There was a sense of disgust throughout the film as this situation could occur to anyone. The way they torture the

man/couple is worse than you anticipate and shocks you. There is visceral reactions from the film as whats shown is not hidden from

the audience. You identify with the characters and this makes you have a stronger reaction. It creates a false sense of security because

at the beginning we feel we can identify with the teenagers, however once they begin to torture the couple we decide

against this.

when it gets to the tense part when the car comes onto the screen, the diegetic sounds of the car revving its engine makes us feel on edge.
